Remodeling a swimming pool is a complex task. It goes beyond simply changing the plaster color or updating the tile. Many pools, especially those built 15, 20, or even 25 years ago, were not constructed properly. Even today, some pools are still being built with design and construction flaws constructed by inexperienced or untrained professionals. So, when it's time to update or remodel your pool, it's crucial to hire a contractor with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of pool construction. You need someone who can identify and fix any design flaws from the past, ensuring that your remodel is a wise investment that will not only work efficiently but also last for many years.

We are frequently called upon to fix design and construction errors in pools that, over a sometimes-short period of time, have caused significant damage to the pool and the unsuspecting homeowners, and it's not just the older ones we're talking about. Often, we’re called in to address issues with newer pools built by contractors who lack proper training and knowledge. These unqualified contractors leave their clients with problems that need fixing before their time. That's where we come in. Before we will begin a pool remodel, we thoroughly assess your pool, pinpoint any issues, and offer solutions to resolve them so that you obtain the most out of your investments for years to come.

This beautiful pool in Matern Island, Horseshoe Bay, is only roughly 12 years old and certainly should not have been time for a full remodel.  The client knew they had a problem with their tile and plaster delaminating on their spa as well as the spillway coping.  Unfortunately, the problems were far more serious than what met the eye and this is not uncommon at all - we are 4 months into the year and are on our 4th pool remodel of just this type resulting from an improperly constructed pool, and an improperly constructed pool is nothing but the result of an inexperience and untrained pool builder.   This is why our company is continually expanding our knowledge and continually working toward the PHTA Master Pool Builder Certification status.  It makes a difference and above is the reason why!

Here's what we found lurking under the surface of this  beautiful pool:

After draining the pool and noticing persistent water spots, we began removing the gunite and discovered a significant amount of rebound material left over from the original construction. This flaw ultimately led to the failure of the

If we had only performed a cosmetic retile and replaster of the spa, these underlying issues would have gone unresolved—resulting in ongoing structural failures and greater expenses down the line. Our goal is to protect your investment by addressing the root causes, ensuring that every dollar spent adds lasting value and allows you to enjoy your pool the way it was intended.
